Timeframe

TTSRL will run from June 2006 until February 2009. The project is divided into separate blocks of research (Workpackages, WPs) that all have their own timeframe and that all contribute in their own way to the finalization of the entire project.

The objectives and time periods of each individual Workpackage are described below:

• WP2: Defining and categorizing notions of security and analyzing the existing policy discourse within the EU: November 20, 2006 until May 15, 2008
• WP3: The Nature of Terrorism: Conceptual Difficulties, Theoretical Notions and Empirical Findings: January 1, 2007 until May 15, 2008
• WP4: The consequences of terrorism for the civil peace in European Societies: media effects, vulnerable groups, & civil polarization: January 1, 2008 until September 15, 2008
• WP5: The negative economic impact of terrorism and means of consequence minimalization: December 1, 2006 until May 31, 2008
• WP6: An Ethically Just Comprehensive European Strategy against Terrorism: February 1, 2008 until October 1, 2008
• WP7: Finalizing the report: October 1, 2008 until December 31, 2008
